Did you ever wish the salesperson sitting in front of you could prove how all of these wonderful claims they are making actually made a difference in someone else’s life or business? How many times have you taken the salesperson’s so called “words of wisdom” only to be disappointed later on? This is why case studies are so important.

A case study is an in depth description of a process. It can lead a client or prospect through a situation -   how it was analyzed, acted upon and what the real life results were. They clearly show how you as an individual or company made a made a positive impact on someone or some company’s life. Think about how you make the difference for people every day. Put in on paper, put it on your website, put it everywhere you present and sell to your clients and prospects. This little bit of extra proof could be the difference in that next sale. QR Codes and Your Marketing

Posted: July 12, 2010 in Uncategorized

Today Sir Speedy and Bloom – Ideas for Growth introduced QR Codes. Simply put, these funny little boxes are the next generation of bar codes. The “QR” is derived from “Quick Response”, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed.

These codes were invented in 1994 for the manufacturing world to help tracking and now with the technology we have today they are being used in the marketing campaigns of some of the worlds largest companies. What makes these codes so great is that they can hold large quantities of data compared to a traditional bar code.

To use a QR Code all one needs is a smart phone with a free application such as ScanLife. Then take a picture of the code and instantly you are brought to a landing page on the internet. This landing page can be a company website, a registration page, enter you into a contest or take a survey. Really the possibilities are vast. In future posts and videos I continue to help you learn and explore how to use these to make your marketing more effective. But until then try scanning the code below.

If you do not have the proper software on your phone go to www.ScanLife.com and get the free application. Then simply take a picture of the code below.

This is an example of a QR Code
